Getting started

To get started building with xAI, follow one of the guides below:

• Prompt engineering in the PromptIDE
• Create an API key and use our SDK
• Use Grok via our SDK

Developer Access

Access to our developer tools is currently limited to participants of our Early Access program. To apply for access, navigate to grok.x.ai, sign in using your X-account and enter your email address. You will receive an email when you're being onboarded into the Early Access program.

At the moment, only users who are based in the USA and are subscribed to X Premium+ are eligible for access. Note that the country restriction even applies if you are a member of the Early Access program and are subscribed to X Premium+. We will communicate any changes to this policy via our X account @xAI.
